The Downtown Parade of Lights has always been one my most cherished yearly events.  I’ve seen the event grow over the years to become a grand celebration of the holiday spirit that uplifts us during this time of year.  This year, we’ll go back to the parade’s roots by reveling in Jacome Plaza!

How do I Get to the Downtown Tucson Parade of Lights 2017?

You can find the start of the Downtown Tucson Parade of Lights on the corner of Alameda and Church, right next to the Jacome Plaza Festival.  Jacome Plaza is right next to the Jeol D. Valdez Main Library, you can’t miss it, just look for the fun red art piece.

There will be a host of fun things to do in Jacome Plaza before the parade.  There will be entertaining and education activities at Santa’s Workshop thanks to our friends at Nestle Tollhouse. You might even get caught in a snowstorm, so be sure to bring your scarfs!

When is the Downtown Tucson Parade of Lights 2017?

Join with the rest of Tucson and thousands of visitors for the Downtown Parade of Lights at 6pm on Saturday, December 16th.  The parade will last for around an hour and there are many great locations to park and set up chairs to enjoy the lights.  Check out the parade route above to find the space closest to you!

For those out of towners, here is a PRO TIP: Park at the Mercado and ride the Lightrail (Tucson Streetcar) into Downtown Tucson.  Have a great time with the entire family and build up an appetite.  Then, on the way back, stop by any one of many incredible restaurants that make Downtown Tucson an International City of Gastronomy.
