Sabino Canyon
Sabino Canyon is one of the most beautiful places to walk, hike or jog. It has something for all outdoor enthusiasts. Take a friend and go for a walk up the main road or take the tram up and walk down. The road is great for jogging and running as well.
There are some gorgeous spots to stop and read, chat or have a picnic. There was still water running. Want more of a challenge? There are several great hiking trails, my favorite goes to seven falls.
When you go, take more water than you think you will need. The Tucson air is dry and you need more water. There is a gift shop on site with some snacks and water and gifts, of course. They have trail maps and other park information. Just ask, the staff is very friendly.
I would suggest an annual pass. It is $20 and good for one year at Sabino Canyon and other state parks like Mt. Lemmon. The tram cost $8 for adults. (prices as of November 2008).
