Kino Sports Complex
Kino Sports Complex brings athletes and musicians from all over the world here for Tucson’s citizens to enjoy. This multipurpose venue composes of one large baseball stadiums (Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium), 12 baseball fields, soccer fields, clubhouses, and many other facilities. So Kino Sports Complex gives Tucsonans the opportunity to watch and play their favorite sports, year-round. Kino is hands down one of our favorite venues in Tucson!
The Tucson Padres (a subsidiary of the San Diego Padres) play all of their 72 home games at Kino Stadium. Padres’ games are great for weekend outings with the family. For the 4th of July the stadium puts on a spectacular fireworks display after the game. Family ticket packages are then often available to make seeing a Padres’ game very affordable.
If baseball’s not your thing, Kino Sports Complex recently has been talking with many MLS teams about hosting soccer spring training and exhibition games here in Tucson. Therefore teams like MLS champions LA Galaxy and the New York Red Bulls will be playing at Kino.
In addition to sports, Kino is also home to a number of concerts throughout the year. Country station KIIM FM holds their annual Freedom Fest Concert as well as many others at Kino Sports Complex. The venue can be rented out for various events, so the complex also hosts many community festivals and family events throughout the year. Kino is an excellent facility for the Tucson Community, and lots of fun for the family!
