Come visit one of the more unique and interesting museums in Tucson that is dedicated entirely to the rich history and tradition of Arizona athletics at the Jim Click Hall of Champions.

Found attached to the North Entrance of McKale Center, the Jim Click Hall of Champions is a showcase of Arizona athletic memorabilia. No sports fan will want to miss, especially the diehard Wildcat fans. Inside the facility, you will find many of the U of A’s conference and national championship trophies on display. The Jim Click Hall of Champions has several displays dedicated to the history of UA athletics. This includes the athletes that broke barriers at the UA such as female athletes and minority athletes.

Memorabilia

Be sure to check out the display of all the Sports Illustrated issues that have featured Wildcats on the cover. On the South Wall of the Jim Click Hall of Champions, you can look for a Wildcat athlete. Where every Wildcat that has ever played professional baseball, football, basketball, softball, golf, or participated in the Olympics is listed. This along with every team they ever played for! You will also find displays honoring our athletes that have won National Awards. An exhibit that honors each of the teams currently competing at the University.

Making your way through the South doors of the Jim Click Hall of Champions you will find McKale Center. The center is open to the public should you want to go in. You can see the court where the Wildcats play and wander through the halls of McKale. All of the displays honoring the UA Wildcats in the UA Athletic Hall of Fame are there. Also, the achievements of the various teams over the years are on display. Don’t forget to have your kiddos check out the Jim Click Hall of Champions poster table. There they will find posters from the athletic teams currently in a season that are FREE to take home; they make great decorations in the bedroom! And if you wander around the center you just might bump into some of those athletes on the poster, so bring a sharpie to get that autograph!

The Jim Click Hall of Champions is completely FREE to the public. Its hours are Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm, Saturday Noon-5pm as well as the hours leading up to home football and basketball games. The space isn’t tremendously big, but you can easily lose track of time seeing and reading about all of the amazing Arizona athletics memorabilia and players crammed into the Jim Click Hall of Champions.
