Camping on Fool Hollow Lake

Using the website above, you’ll make a reservation for a private camp site at Fool Hollow Lake (a gated community of course). We call this…Boutique Camping.

Pack up your tent or RV. Make sure to take the air matress (if you’ll be in a tent), egyptian cotton sheets and down feather pillows.

You will also need your favorite shower gel and shampoo, as the bathrooms and showers are free at Fool Hollow Lake. Oh, and very clean. Rangers clean them constantly.

In all seriousness, we love Fool Hollow Lake and yes, it is a great place for mild camping.

Each camp site comes with private parking spaces, table with bench seats, fire pit with grill and a place to pitch a tent or two.

Concrete pathways for bikes run all through the area and there is even a playground for the kids.

RV’s have there own spaces as well and each with all the hookups needed.

Need firewood or ice? Don’t leave the gate, the camp host and hostess are there daily and have them for sale.

Fool Hollow Lake is right in the middle of Show Low Az, about a 3.5 hour drive from Tucson AZ. If you need anything while you are there, it’s just down the road from the lake.

Groceries, dine-in restaurants, fast food, camping supplies, batteries, you name it.

Dogs on leashes are welcome, wouldn’t go there if they weren’t.
